Yesterday I wrote the annual homeschooling progress report for my son. I have to submit one every year. Usually it’s really easy, I just go to the notebook where I keep my records, and copy stuff down. Well, this year I haven’t been as on the ball about record keeping. I was glad to find out that my memory is good, and I could remember everything we did. It took up some of my writing time, however, and it is about 900 words. That’s almost my whole writing goal!
The good news is that I have two scenes finished. I’m feeling more inspired, and hopefully will be able to get back on the wagon with my novel. I REALLY need to do my longer term goals again, but I haven’t had time to do that, AND homeschool, AND write. Oh, yeah, and let’s not forget about keeping the house clean.
So, goals for the rest of the week: write a 500 word assignment for my workshop. Write the next scene in my novel by Sunday. Those are dinky goals, but I have to start somewhere, right?
